Well, it is pretty shocking that James Corden announced he will step down as the host of The Late Late Show. Via DailyMail.com, he confirmed he wants to have more time with family at home in the UK. The Brit decided to quit the show at the end of season eight despite the CBS executives trying to keep him for a longer time.
Though, the host who is well known for the Carpool Karaoke program hasn’t decided what to do during his return to the UK. James Corden and his 10 years wife are mulling over the return with the three children.
A source told the Sun that James and Jules had no time to see their families in the UK due to their busy schedules. Another source confirmed that he is planning to move close to West Ham United’s London Stadium. In a long-term plan, the couple wants to see more of their parents and also consider a permanent move.
However, they sold their house in London so it is a need to find a new base in the capital before they arrive.
James Corden’s Story with The Late Late Show
The Late Late Show was firstly premiered in 1995 with Tom Snyder and then followed by Craig Kilborn, and Craig Ferguson until James Corden came along in 2015. For Corden, the show has been amazing in that it has changed his life.
‘Seven and half years ago I started hosting this show and there’s no other way to put it, it has changed my life,’ he said.
From the start, he never saw the show as the final destination. Meanwhile, CBS executives explained that it is difficult to find a talent that can redefine a long-running format. Corden went viral globally and even smashed records such as creating the most-watched online clips in history. Corden’s show is not just a popular show. Even it brought him to the white house.
Via Daily Mail, Corden explain his choice to leave the show was difficult as he was proud of the show. Though when he was asked about his plan to move to the UK, he genuinely didn’t know the answer. He hadn’t made the decision but he thought about it for a long time.
‘I love living here [in LA]. I love everything it’s given. My family and I have never taken this incredible adventure for granted. Every day I drive down Sunset to work and I just think I’m from High Wycombe.’
Spending Time with Mark Noble
