When is a post, not a post, if I don’t post, but still want to post. I’ve got nothing to say, but I keep feeling the need to hit “PUBLISH”, but why should I without any content?

Truthfully, sometimes there is more excitement going on in my INBOX then on this blog. I feel like the blog has been too standard informational lately. Post. News. Post. Clip. Post Clip. Concert. Post. Concert. What’s on Jewish Insights? What’s on Shlager? What’s on BloginDm? What’s on Gruntig?

BloginDm - My old friend, we’ve both been doing this a long time, you even longer than me. Are you getting any feedback from those luft reviews? I know your probably hitting the nail on the head but I can’t commit to reading them. Forget about that guy, talk about more MUSAC.

Choirs, choirs, choirs. Eli Gerstner, Yerachmiel Begun. Who cares? Just make good music, let’s stop talking about who is better (Begun). The truth is, Miami better have a killer album, because I haven’t heard a classic Miami album, since …. well, since a classic Miami album like One By One or It’s Min Hashamayim.

Menucha 2? Isn’t Menucha supposed to be coming out soon? Will anyone care? Here is another question … how long can you hype the arrival of an album as coming soon, when soon never comes. How long until buzz turns into spite and that turns into unattainable expectations.

MO KISS. MO KISS. Lama, lama why far voos? Ich Hab Gehert …. I keep getting these emails about how amazing this “Kol Noar Boys Choir” will be … will it be? Can it be? Nu? Ich Hab Gevart ….

Speaking of MBD. I’m in the mood for a new MBD CD. I don’t know why, maybe it’s because of Yeedle and Sruly’s albums. I’m itching for some Werdyger vocals.

While we are on the subject of Sruly Werdyger, let me just say, thank you oh so much, I finally made it into the Country Yossi Magazine. My life’s goals have now been realized.

If you pick up this months Country Yossi you will see that myself and JoeFlix both were quoted in the article on Sruly’s album.

Congratulations on making “#1″ on his “top ten” list. and yes, those quotes are there on purpose.

Since you brought it up, to the guy who keeps sending me nasty emails/comments, can you take a chill pill? I’m sorry, I didn’t MEAN TO WRITE - NEW - I meant new as in, it’s NEW’ish, as in it came out recently, as in, it’s not old, unless you think a few months is old.

So does that make the 8th Note an old album? If it’s old can it now be classic? Because I still listen to it once a day, and I still think it’s the best CD in the universe. Other universes? I don’t know.

When I first started writing this blog I knew nothing but wrote everything, now I’ve been doing this for years and hear and know everything yet, there is so much I can’t write.

SoulFarm Set To Release New CD

The group Soulfarm made up of band members C Lanzbom, Noah Solomon & Yoshie Fruchter are set to release their first CD in almost 8 years. The CD ”MONKEY DANCE” is a collection of new songs, some that have been played over the past few years and some created spontaneously in the studio.

The CD has a very upbeat modern dance quality to it, while still maintaining their unique organic sound. The songs are evocative and heartfelt, while still maintaining a fun “tongue in cheek” attitude; the CD features a host of great musicians, including Yehuda Solomon of Moshav band. This CD will be in stores in time for Chanukah.

Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills Concert!

Now this is an interesting line up. Last week we were talking about the lack of diversity at the HASC show, but this concert seems to have everyone covered.

Avraham Fried appeals to everyone, Baruch Levine appeals to the more Litvish, Lakewood/Flatbush people. Eitan Katz is that Carlebach/Chaim Dovid group. Plus they ACTUALLY added a group that’s different. 8th Day, a group I’ve been a major supporter of since they first debuted on the Jewish Music scene is going to be at the show also.

BREAKING CH Jewish Music News: Lipa Doing Soul II Soul!

This is really exciting news for fans of the Soul II Soul show. This is a melave malka show that is held in Crown Heights every year in the winter. The show’s regular star is Avraham Fried but once before MBD did step in. Now this year Lipa will be staring in the show. This show has a very different style and format than regular Jewish Music concerts. This show is much more intimate and more like a Melave Malka or a Farbrengen. I think Lipa is a perfect fit for the Crown Heights Anash and this will be a really incredible and special show.

Tune in and check this out, everybody! Lipa is currently working on a concert for Chabad, for the venerated organization ‘Soul to Soul.’ This production, slotted for January 10, 2009, regularly features the biggest names in Jewish music: chart-toppers like MBD and Avraham Fried. This year, Lipa will take his honored turn at the microphone, attracting Lubaviche chassidim from Crown Heights and beyond. Even if you’re not Lubavich per se, you’re still cordially invited to enjoy the show!
