I have to start this off by saying - no, the Crest company is not one of my clients. Now, with that said, you MUST go out right now (wait, come back, let me finish this post first) ok, now, you must buy this flavored toothpaste. The Crest Whitening Expressions Lemon Ice, I’m telling you it’s amazing. I am never happy with my toothpaste, and have always been switching from flavor to flavor, company to company, I never like it.

My wife didn’t want to try it, but I knew this would be the one. Lemon toothpaste. It’s wonderful. It’s like a Shabbos party in your mouth. It tastes like yellow jelly beans. It’s the best toothpaste I ever had. Look, would I be embarrassing myself like this on this blog by telling you how I excited I am over toothpaste if I wasn’t serious? Go take a chance, even if your not into these flavored ones. It’s awesome …

Well … no I didn’t, but this guy thought he did and boy was it funny to watch. Warning: There is a lot profanity. But it’s really funny. The ultimate prank. Record old lottery drawing, invite friend over who bought a ticket with those numbers, and let him think its a live drawing. Like I said, lots of cursing, so use headphones, or turn it down reaaaaally really low. Even the expressions are funny.

Jack, this is so up your alley. No?

Ya, I’m funny, I know, you see it’s “The Chevra” but without the RA!, That’d be a good group name no? Well anyway, the moment all JM fans have been waiting for (no? You haven’t?) is finally here. The guys who used to be in the Chevra, they are the Chevra, they aren’t the Chevra, I don’t know, the whole thing gave me a headache.

Now they are calling themselves “Avi David & Donny” (Catchy no? Just rolls off the tip of your tongue) You can buy/download their new single (the one they are singing at tonight’s YU Concert) at Mostly Music for the low low price of $3.99. You can hear it (and it’s similarly sounding “remix” version) at the MM website.

Hey Spielberg!

Listen, you taught the goyim about the Holocaust, and for that we thank you. You’ve re-wrote history and stepped on Israel in Munich, and - whatever, we can’t stop you .. do what you must - but now your crossing the line! The new buzz is that Steven the Great will be remaking Marry Poppins.

Is nothing sacred?!?!?!?

I don’t know how I feel about this article, after reading it once, I think I don’t like it. The angle seems to be suggesting that all the Jewish themed blogs, magazines, parties, Music labels are meaningless and pointless.

There are mentions and quotes in this article from all the big players, Heeb, Jewlicious, JDub, Jewcy etc .While, these things may not be Yeshivas and Bible study groups, they certainly do a wonderful job of keeping up with ones own Jewish Identity, which many times results in becoming more religious, or at the very least, staying true to their Jewish roots -which is never a bad thing.

Ok, it’s not from the actual CD, but from some recent concerts. I’ve been schooling KeyboardGuy over at his place on why I’m not ready to give up on Matisyahu, just because of one alleged bad review. (all though Jdub people on the Matis board say that its pretty impossible that anyone has an advance copy to begin with but … draw your own conclusions on that … )

I wanted to share these links, if you download the Ft Lauderdale show. You can hear two new songs, and an awesome carlebach’esq extended singing story version of Aish Tamid.

Ft Lauderdale link.
New Songs: Mist Rising and Fire of Heaven/Altar of Earth (my new favorite song)

9:30 club: Washington D.C.
New Song, Youth.

Boston, MA - This is from this past Monday’s show (12/26/05)

I think there is some new stuff there too, I’m downloading this now, will listen and update sometime tomorrow.

If you really enjoy Matisyahu you should download the shows anyway, ultimately, Matisyahu really is at his best during these shows. His albums will never compare to the live shows. Its more real there, more raw, and he can express himself better in a free form.

This was in today’s Jewish Press. The line under the title says: Fabulously funny songs for the frum woman. What in the world is this? Is this a joke? It doesn’t say who is carrying this CD on the ad, does anyone know anything about this??

Since I did grow up in a Chabad atmosphere, I’m used to seeing the Mall menorahs, the park menorahs, the menorahs outside city hall, off of the highways, everywhere. I think it’s cool, but I’ve seen it all quite a few times. Still, for reasons I can only chalk up to boys loving lego. The LEGO MENORAH gets me every time. no matter how many times I see it, it’s still awesome. It’s a menorah made out of lego?! How freakin cool is that? Seriously.

Here are this year’s Lego Menorah stories.

New Jersey: Youth create LEGO menorah for pediatric unit.

California: Chabad lights up ‘Lego Menorah’ for Hanukkah

UPDATED: THIS IS THE RIGHT LINK

This is stunning. I wish they would come out with this cd for chanukah, it would be at the top of my list. These guys sound really great together. Now if they would add Fried to HASC and just have him and Ohad singing duets, maybe I’d pay to see that.
